We’re looking for three experienced individuals to work in our Engineering Department. Current positions include Hardware Engineering, DSP and Communications Signal Processing and Software Engineering.

Hardware Engineering (top)
We’re looking for professionals at all experience levels in broadband access and telecom systems deployment. All applicants should be experienced in specification deployment, FPGA development in VHDL/Verilog using Xilinx and Altera devices (digital engineers), schematic capture, circuit layout and testing. Multiple positions are available.

Principle Engineer, RF Development
Job description: Principal RF engineer to lead the design of digital communications radios in the frequency range of 2 to 10 GHz for Raze Technologies’ leading edge broadband access products. In this role, you will be the lead design engineer and team leader in the development of multiple radio products.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of data radio design, development and production
  • Design and development experience of oscillators, PLLs, modulators, amplifiers, filters and power amplifiers.
  • Understanding of advanced modulation techniques such as: N-QAM, N-PSK, OFDM
  • Experience with RF link analysis and propagation effects
  • Clear understanding of performance effects due to oscillator phase noise, amplifier non-linearity, filtering, etc.
  • Project and team management experience
  • Full product life-cycle development required
  • BSEE with MSEE highly desired

Senior Engineer, Digital Design
Job description: Senior engineering positions are available to participate and lead in the design and development of high-speed digital circuitry for Raze Technologies’ leading edge broadband access products. As a senior member of the hardware engineering team, you will be relied upon as a development lead of high-speed circuits that support processing of digital communications data.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of digital circuit design in the telecom market
  • Advanced experience in FPGA development, simulation and synthesis tools
  • Schematic capture, board layout, test and debug
  • Full product life-cycle development required
  • BSEE with MSEE highly desired

Engineer, Digital Design
Job description: Engineering position to participate in the design and development of high-speed digital circuitry for Raze Technologies’ leading edge broadband access products. As a team member, you will assist in the development of high-speed circuits that support processing of digital communications data.

Engineer, FPGA Design
Job description: Engineering position to participate in the design and development of FPGA cores for Raze Technologies’ leading edge broadband access products. In this position, you will support the overall digital design activities by developing the fundamental FPGA cores used throughout the system.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of FPGA design with telecom experience desired
  • Extensive experience in FPGA development, simulation and synthesis tools
  • Experience with schematic capture, test and debug
  • Full product life-cycle development preferred
  • BSEE with MSEE preferred

Senior Development Technician
Job description: Support the development of Raze Technologies’ leading edge broadband access products. This senior level position will support the development and testing of these products.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of laboratory and system development work
  • Experienced in the use of RF and digital test equipment to include spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, logic analyzers, power meters, etc.
  • Skilled in soldering, cable fabrication, board rework, and system integration.
  • Experience in laboratory setup and management, and ESD protection techniques
  • Associates degree in electronics technology or equivalent

In this role, you will be responsible for setting the direction for network management of the entire product suite working closely with product management.

  • Configuration management, Fault management including alarms, status and diagnostic management, Performance management, Security management, Subscriber management

Software engineer, embedded Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OAM) — multiple positions
Job description: Software engineer to design and develop embedded OAM software which is an integral part of a state-of-the-art Element Management System (EMS) for Raze Technologies' leading edge broadband access products. In this role, you will be responsible for architecture definition and development of the OAM framework as well as OAM of the embedded system.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years network management and telecom experience
  • C/C++, OOA&D, embedded realtime software
  • VxWorks, OSE and relevant development and debugging tools
  • OSS, SNMP, MIBs
  • Configuration management, Fault management including alarms, status and diagnostic management, Performance management, Security management, Subscriber management

Software lead, Datacom protocols
Job description: Lead software engineer to drive the definition and design of data communications protocols for Raze Technologies' leading edge broadband access products. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluation of 3rd party protocol stacks as well as integration and configuration of the data networking protocols within the entire product suite. You will set the direction for the data communications architecture for the broadband access system.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 8+ years data communications experience ยท C/C++, OOA&D
  • Networking protocols — ATM, AAL1/2/5, TCP/IP, PPP, L2TP, Frame relay, MPOA, MPLS, Diffserv, RSVP, VoIP, VoATM, etc

Senior software engineer, switch interfaces
Job description: Software engineer to evaluate and integrate 3rd party switch interfaces protocol stacks for Raze Technologies' leading edge broadband access products. In this role, you will be responsible for vendor recommendation and management as well as integration of the stacks within the call management and OAM frameworks.

Operations (top)
We’re looking for three experienced individuals to work in our Operations Department. Current positions include Component Engineer, Librarian and Purchaser.

Component Engineer (top)
As Component Engineer, you will monitor the component market and work closely with manufacturers to find, recommend and continually innovate the component selection for our products. As you gain knowledge of our products and relevant components, you will become our leading expert in the technology, quality and reliability of specific components. You will support product development programs, specifying components and new vendors. You will provide component-related answers. And you will prevent and solve component problems. You will also maintain and optimize the component database. As Component Engineer, you will work with hardware designers, the librarian, material vendors, production experts, reliability engineers and buyers.

To qualify for the position, you must have the following:

  • 5+ years of component engineering experience
  • A strong knowledge of the key performance (DFM), cost and availability issues of electronic and RF (GHz range) components.
  • Solid problem-solving, prioritizing and time management skills
  • A proactive work ethic
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Hardware design experience and knowledge of component manufacturing and component markets are preferred. Librarian experience is an enormous plus.

Librarian (top)
We’re looking for someone to create, qualify and maintain schematic symbols, parts geometries, and simulation models for Hardware and PCB designs. You will update specifications for parts creation and processes. You will assist design engineers or CAD designers using libraries and EDA tools.

Qualifications include:

  • Specific knowledge in Orcad CIS and Cadence Allegro PCB
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • At least five years of library experience

We’re looking for someone to coordinate the operations of purchasing and material control planning to meet cost goals and target dates. As Purchaser, you will set up our internal electronic BOM system to establish material requirements. You will locate, source and qualify suppliers to ensure high quality products. You will ensure timely material support to meet shipping deadlines for new product launches. You will manage tooling to ensure sufficient local support. You will maintain ongoing cost reduction programs. You will make certain we have second sources for critical components. You will prepare weekly cost and procurement reports. And you will manage the parts inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Material Management preferred
  • Related experience in a manufacturing environment and purchasing
  • Knowledge of material requirement planning systems

We’re looking for experienced individuals to work in our Marketing Department. Current positions include Director of Product Marketing and Director of Product Management.

Director of Product Marketing (top)
Our Director of Product Marketing will be responsible for the outbound marketing of the Raze Technologies product family to Network Service Providers worldwide. Marketing the product line will include:

  • Managing product launches
  • Direct corporate image and product marketing, including writing brochures, white papers and application notes
  • Monitoring and targeting competitors
  • Providing sales training, materials and support
  • Supporting domestic and international OEMs

As Director of Product Marketing, your primary objectives will be to create and maintain product awareness, increase product revenue, generate leads and plan strategically for the future. You will also help evaluate and support new market opportunities and work with other internal groups to incorporate and support the relevant message.

Requirements include:

  • BSEE or CS degree
  • At least 5 years industry experience in a similar telco equipment product marketing position
  • MBA preferable

Our Director of Product Management will be responsible for the inbound product management of Raze Technologies’ product family. Managing the product line will include:

  • Defining new products
  • Identifying feature enhancements/priorities
  • Driving marketing requirements through development
  • Owning and maintaining the product roadmap
  • Modeling and managing costs
  • Tracking and analyzing revenue

As Director of Product Management your primary objective will be to own the product line as it travels from initial marketing requirements to field-deployable products. You will act as the conduit between engineering and marketing for all product-related issues.

Requirements for this position include:

  • BSEE or CS degree
  • At least 5 years industry experience in a similar telco equipment product management position
  • MBA preferable
